Tangible Laptop
By GarageGeeks and Uri Levanon will demonstrate a portable affordabale version of the reacTable, called the TangibLaptop.

There are many tangible tables. tangible mean that you can touch something.

The TangibLaptop is an open source version that every music-technology enthosiastic around the world can create and carry around.
have a web camera above the laptop, or a laying LCD screen, and place smaller tangible objects on it.
placing the objects (with the fiducial markers attached onto physical objects) is detected by the camera and sends this information to 2 clients : MIDI and Graphic

Graphic client listen on UDP port 3333 and receive the "TUIO protocol" information which describes somethink about an object which is on the table (position, angle).
MIDI client - can be Cubase, Abelton Live, receives midi information and does something with that. change a controller value, play a sample, play a note acoarding to position.
